Create a draft
Open Signup forms and choose Create form. In Content, select a newsletter with a verified sender and an active group belonging to that newsletter.
After email confirmation, the address subscribes to that newsletter and joins the selected group. Group membership alone does not select recipients for a campaign.
Review the terms
Write the public title, consent wording approved for your business and your real HTTPS privacy policy URL. ApresMail does not prefill legal wording.
Design your public page
In Appearance, start with Paper, Midnight or Sage. Adjust the page and card colors, text and button colors, corners and layout. Edit the description, email label, button and inbox-check message. Colors need enough contrast to keep the text readable.
The live preview shows your unsaved choices. Switch between desktop and phone to check the composition. Preview controls and links are disabled, so previewing cannot subscribe anyone. Save draft keeps your work private; Publish makes the saved version public. Open public always opens the published page.
Publish and share
The publication panel lists any missing settings. Publication requires completed account consent preparation, qualified email delivery and the server’s form configuration. Save the draft, then publish it. In Connect, copy the public link to share in a message, social profile or website. Visitors see a standalone signup page.
You can also copy the iframe code to place that page inside your website. Enter each exact HTTPS website origin in the form settings, then save and republish. An origin contains the scheme and hostname, and a port if needed: no path, trailing slash or wildcard. Each subdomain needs its own entry. Allowed origins permit both embedding and submitting to this form.
Changing a draft leaves the published revision unchanged. Save and publish again to update the live appearance, wording or integration. A published form keeps its newsletter. Previously issued confirmations retain the wording and destination shown when requested. Archiving the form or its group stops new signups and invalidates pending confirmations.
Connect your own HTML form
Keep your website’s design and send its form to ApresMail with an ordinary HTTP POST. No API key is needed. In Connect, add your website’s exact origin and choose input names for the email address, consent checkbox and optional hidden website honeypot. These are the supported fields; custom profile attributes are not accepted.
Save and publish, then copy the HTML or integration instructions for your website creator. The HTML uses the published POST URL, field names, revision ID, exact consent wording and privacy link. The checkbox must start unchecked and be required. A native form uses application/x-www-form-urlencoded and works without JavaScript. A successful request opens an inbox-check receipt; it does not immediately activate a subscription.
After republishing changed consent or field mapping, replace the website’s snippet with the newly generated version. ApresMail rejects stale revisions rather than silently accepting different terms. Do not hard-code one submission ID for every visitor. Native forms can omit it; ApresMail creates an operation ID for each received POST.
Connect with JavaScript
Use the same POST URL and allowed website origin. Send JSON with canonical email, consent: true, revisionId and a fresh UUID submissionId, plus optional website. Native field mapping does not rename JSON properties. Set Content-Type: application/json and credentials: "omit". ApresMail allows CORS only for an admitted origin and does not grant credentialed access.
Reuse the same submission ID and unchanged body when retrying an uncertain request. A successful JSON response has HTTP 202 and a neutral acknowledgment. Handle validation errors, stale revisions and rate limits in your page. Keep addresses out of URLs and submission logs.
Every signup requires confirmation
The public page, embedded page and your custom form use the same published destination and signup logic. Submitting does not add group membership or activate marketing consent. The visitor must open the email and press Confirm signup within 24 hours; opening the link alone has no effect.
For a unified audience, confirmation may send that newsletter’s enabled welcome email and start its published group-joined or form-confirmed sequences. Existing delivery blocks remain in force. Unsubscribing withdraws consent for that newsletter. An older confirmation cannot reverse that withdrawal; a fresh signup and confirmation are required. Earlier queued marketing messages are not revived.
Create a draft, check it on desktop and phone, and publish before copying its link or connecting your website.
